We understand the importance of family and feeling connected. While family can be our greatest source of support, it can sometimes simultaneously serve as our greatest source of distress. Many people grew up in chaotic families where boundaries were not respected or modeled. If you grew up in such a family, you may have a difficult time setting boundaries with yourself or others. Internal relationships within the family can sometimes become dysfunctional. We help the family to identify disruptive thought patterns and manipulative behaviors preventing the family unit from functioning at its optimal level. Together we will assess and articulate the concerns and strengths of each family member and develop a plan to help the family develop a better understanding of individual needs and the collective needs of the family unit enabling healing and transformation.
